The very essence of raw talent forged by Motor City tribulation – SuperLast may be the next great arena-rock band to emerge from the fertile Detroit music scene! Their combination of clean, soulful, hook-driven melodies and heavy, deep, inventive rock (coined “NU-Classic”) is the essence of what makes SuperLast a unique standout.

Lead singer Mike Azuri captivates the crowd from his vocal first note. Johnny Q’s unorthodox pick free guitar technique is as original as it is impressive. The “Two Tims”, Tim Reamer on guitar-keyboard-mandolin and Tim Downs on bass, provide the perfect rhythm section. Rounded out by Rich Pyle’s “Zepplin-esque” drum style which brings it all together to create a musical powerhouse and performance audiences won’t soon forget!

From their inception, coming together as five experienced Detroit musicians converging for a studio recording project, there was a notable chemistry and energy that exceeded the sum of the parts.

Front man and vocalist Mike Azuri explains, “We set out to make an album, but ended up with much more ”Their debut CD “American Lunatic” (Audiostone Records), which features special guest performance by Pete Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd) has received strong reviews and regional media attention and was voted #1 at the 2011 Fox Rocks contest. 

In December 2012, SuperLast released their much anticipated sophomore album self titled “SuperLast” and confirmed their place as one of the top rock bands in the Detroit area. 

In a short period, SuperLast has performed nationally at Laconia Bike Week, DTE Music Theatre, Motor City Sound Board, Machine Shop and The Crofoot Ballroom; provided live TV and radio interviews and performances on Fox 2 Detroit , TV20 Celebrate Michigan, WDIV Detroit and dozens of internet radio shows; and shared the stage with such notables as Def Leppard, Heart, Cheap Trick, Days of the New, Candlebox, Skid Row, Jackyl, Great White, Night Ranger, The Guess Who, Robert Bradley and Gary Hoey.

 With each day bringing increasing popularity and demand.  The band sets their sights high on the cusp of Rich Pyle’s return to reality television with the original series “Meltdown” on National Geographic Network premiering October 31st .
